Welcome to Baseball-ing For Life!
I'm Jean Michaels, the resident baseballer. No, I'm not a professional player. What I am is a massive baseball fan. Cubs all the way!
If you're a fellow baseball fan, you'll understand my passion for the sport. I bet you're just as passionate as I am. If you're not, well, maybe sharing news and updates on baseball and the MLB can help turn you into a baseball fan as well? Who knows, right?
Anyway, here's a good baseball news for you:
Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Troy Tulowitzki managed to hit a single in the eighth inning against the Texas Rangers in the game three of the ALDS at Globe Life Park in Arlington.
Tulowitzki came into the game on Sunday for a 0-for-10 in the series, but then was dropped into number six spot in the batting order this season, for the very first time. Back in 2013, he has thrown 5.2 innings and had been allowed only one run.
In a common efficient 89-pitch outing which featured 57 strikes, he had struck out four and then walked none. Perez induced Ryan Goins into an effective double play, but then Navaro had been able to cross out the play for a good 1-0 lead.
The first post-season game in Houston since game four of the 2005 World Series sees Dallas Keuchel going for the Astros after his excellent performance in the wild-card game. But then, righthander retired Delino DeShields decided to end the third-inning and yet didn't allow a base-runner to get past the second until Josh Hamilton and Elvis Andrus managed to knock him out of the game with a pair of one-out singles in the seventh.
On that note, Rangers manager Jeff Banister, said, "We knew it was going to be a tough series."
